Container #47 (Joyful Succulents #15): Desert Rose Echeveria

May 22, 2020 By Cindy Jungman, SDSU Extension Master Gardener

This full container of echeverias came from one tiny rooted leaf! Often a rooted leaf will generate a cluster of new plantlets. This requires patience, though! The leaf was rooted in the fall of 2018, and this container is in its second summer.

RECIPE:
• (1) Echeveria “Desert Rose”

TIPS:
• Rather than growing this as one clump, you can easily divide this container into multiple plants.
• Minimum care required. Fertilize only occasionally at half the recommended strength.
• Place your container where it will not be bumped. The leaves of this plant fall off easily.
