Sioux Falls Community Gardens

Minnehaha Master Gardeners manage the Sioux Falls Community Gardens with support from the City of Sioux Falls, private businesses, and churches. The community gardens serve over 250 individual gardeners in seven different gardens across Sioux Falls.

The seven Sioux Falls Community Gardens are:

  • Falls Park (1200 N. Phillips Ave.)
  • First International Bank and Trust (700 block of S. Spring Ave, west of the bank)
  • Leaders Park (N. Leadale Ave. at East 6th St.)
  • Memorial Park (West 26th St. and Discovery Ave.)
  • Southern Hills United Methodist Church (3400 East 49th St.)
  • Gloria Dei Lutheran Church (5500 E. 57th St.)
  • University of South Dakota Sioux Falls (4801 N. Career Ave.)

Interested in a plot at the Community Gardens?

Community garden plots are open to South Dakota residents on a first-come, first-served basis. Garden plots are approximately 200 square feet and are available for $20 per plot. Please review the 2026 Sioux Falls Community Garden Agreement before completing a Registration Form.

New Gardener:
If you did not have a plot in 2025, you are considered a New Gardener. Please complete the New Gardener Registration Form beginning January 1, 2026. The deadline to submit this form to participate in the 2026 Community Gardens is February 28, 2026.

Beginning in 2025, new plots will be awarded as 1 plot per residential address. If your application is accepted, you will be notified by April 15, 2026 and will receive payment instructions at that time.

Returning Gardener:
If you had a plot in one of our Community Gardens in 2025, you are considered a Returning Gardener. Instead of completing the New Gardener Registration Form above, you will receive a Returning Gardener Registration Form via email from your current Community Garden Leader.
